#Diwali #greetings
It is Diwali and I thank you for being with me in this part of my journey.
While we all light our houses today, do spend some time today to light a few lamps inside u and sit in silence with ur eyes closed...
Light the first lamp inside u and let it burn your anger and / or jealousy that u may have for any one till date; see it melt away...
Light the second lamp and let it burn away unwanted greed and desires... feel happy and contented with what you have been blessed with.
Light the third lamp and let it fade away all insecurities that you may have in your mind related to anything or financials; just beleive that God has given u life and he will surely give you enough to survive.
Light the 4th lamp and carry that lamp to each part of ur body; let it burn away all your diseased cells or any disease in making. Feel healthy as this lamp travels to each body part and illuminates each organ.
The 5th lamp is a miniature of the Sun... nothing but the divine light... light it in the centre of your body and let it fill the warmth and love inside your whole body...feel one with the Divine... let the love and warmth filled inside you ooze out of you through your smile...eyes..speech...and body....carry this love with you through out the day...u will find that everyone who meets you is happy and elated.
This is the biggest blessing that whoever meets you becomes happier after meeting you... this will also make you happier in return.
Light these 5 lamps each day morning and carry the positivity where ever u go...

*A person asked a question to his Guru, "My workers are not true to me. My children, my wife and the entire world is very selfish. No body is correct."*
*Guru smiled and told a story...,*
*In one small village there was a room with 1000 mirrors. One small girl used to go inside and play.! Seeing thousands of children around her she was joyful.*
*She would clap her hands and all the 1000 children would clap back at her*
*She considered this place as the world's happiest n beautiful place and would visit often.*
*This same place was once visited by a sad n a depressed person.*
*He saw around him thousands of angry men staring at him*
*He got scared and raised his hands to hit them and in return 1000 hands lifted to hit him back.*
*He thought... this is the worst place in the world and left that place.*
*This world is also a room with 1000 mirrors around you... What we let out of us is what the society will give back to us.!!*

#Independence #interdependence
A young boy and his father were walking along a forest path. At some point, they came across a large tree branch on the ground in front of them.
The boy asked his father, "If I try, do you think I could move that branch?" His father replied, "I am sure you can, if you use all your strength."
The boy tried his best to lift or push the branch, but he was not strong enough and he couldn't move it.
He said, with disappointment, "You were wrong, dad. I can't move it."
"Try again," replied his father.
Again, the boy tried hard to push the branch. He struggled but it did not move.
"Dad, I cannot do it," said the boy.
Finally his father said, "Son, I advised you to use all your strength. You didn't. You didn't ask for my help."

Some reflections on this story...
We haven't used all our strength until we have recognized, appreciated and galvanized the strength and support of those who love and surround us, and those who care about our purpose.
Our real strength lies not in independence, but in interdependence. No individual person has all the strengths, all the resources and all the stamina required for the complete blossoming of their vision. That requires the inspired collaboration of many like-hearted beings.
To ask for help and support when we need it is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom. It is a call for the greater strength that lives in our togetherness.
When we ask for help and we are refused, it just means we have to ask at another time, or ask in another way, or ask another person.
It helps to remember SWSWSWSW.
Some will, some won't, so what, someone's waiting!

*MANAGEMENT LESSONS FROM A FIVE HUNDRED RUPEE NOTE*
I am sharing two important management lessons that I learnt from a 500-rupee note.
1. It happened some years ago but I can recall the evening like it happened just last week.
I was in an audience listening to a motivational guru.
The speaker whipped out his wallet and pulled out a five hundred-rupee note.
Holding it up, he asked,
"Who wants this five hundred rupee note?"
Lots of hands went up.
Including mine.
A slow chorus began to build as people began to shout
"Me!" "Me!"
I began to wonder who the lucky one would be who the speaker would choose.
And I also secretly wondered -- and I am sure others did too -- why he would simply give away five hundred rupees.
Even as the shouts of "I want it" grew louder, I noticed a young woman running down the aisle.
She ran up onto the stage, went up to the speaker, and grabbed the five hundred-rupee note from his hand.
"Well done, young lady," said the speaker into the microphone.
"Most of us just wait for good things to happen. That's of no use. You've got to make things happen."
The speaker's words have stayed with me ever since.
'Simply thinking about doing something is of no use'
Our lives are like that. We all see opportunities around us. We all want the good things.
But the problem is we don't take action.
We all want the five hundred rupee notes on offer. But we don't make the move. We look at it longingly.
Get up, and do something about it. Don't worry about what other people might think. Take action.
2. Several years later, it was another day, another time.
And another motivational guru.
As I watched him pull out a five hundred rupee note and hold it up for all to see, I thought I knew what he was going to do next. But he just asked a simple question. "How much is this worth?"
"Five Hundred rupees!" the crowd yelled in unison.
"Right," said the speaker. He then took the note and crumpled it into a ball and asked "How much is it worth now?"
"Five Hundred rupees!" screamed the audience.
He then threw the note on the ground, stamped all over it and picked up the note and asked one more time:
"And how much is it worth now?"
"Five Hundred rupees!" was the response.
"I want you to remember this," said the speaker.
"Just because someone crumples it, or stamps on it, the value of the note does not diminish.
We should all be like the five hundred rupee note..
In our lives, there will be times when we feel crushed, stamped over, beaten. But never let your self-worth diminish. Just because someone chooses to crush you -- that doesn't change your worth one bit!
Don't allow your self-worth to diminish because someone says something nasty -- or does something dirty -- to you."
