#Seven #Steps to #Success

*Seven Steps to Success*

There is a powerful seven step formula that you can use to set and achieve your goals for the rest of your life. Every single successful person uses this formula or some variation of this formula to achieve vastly more than the average person. And so can you. Here it is:

*Decide What You Want*
First, decide exactly what it is you want in each part of your life. Become a "meaningful specific" rather than a "wandering generality."

*Write it Down*
Second, write it down, clearly and in detail. Always think on paper. A goal that is not in writing is not a goal at all. It is merely a wish and it has no energy behind it.

*Set a Deadline*
Third, set a deadline for your goal. A deadline acts as a "forcing system" in your subconscious mind. It motivates you to do the things necessary to make your goal come true. If it is a big enough goal, set sub-deadlines as well. Don't leave this to chance.

*Make a List*
Fourth, make a list of everything that you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your goal. When you think of new tasks and activities, write them on your list until your list is complete.

*Organize Your List*
Fifth, organize your list into a plan. Decide what you will have to do first and what you will have to do second. Decide what is more important and what is less important. And then write out your plan on paper, the same way you would develop a blueprint to build your dream house.

*Take Action*
The sixth step is for you to take action on your plan. Do something. Do anything. But get busy. Get going.

*Do Something Every Day*
Seventh, do something every single day that moves you in the direction of your most important goal at the moment. Develop the discipline of doing something 365 days each year that is moving you forward. You will be absolutely astonished at how much you accomplish when you utilize this formula in your life every single day.

*Action Exercises*
Here are two things you can do to put these ideas into action immediately.

*First*, decide exactly what you want, write it down with a deadline, make a plan and take action - on at least one goal - today!

*Second*, determine the price you will have to pay to achieve this goal and then get busy paying that price - whatever it is.

#Sometimes we #Forget

*Sometimes We Forget*

Sometimes we forget that there are people watching
Us (I mean our actions).

Sometimes we forget we are letters read on a daily basis.

In these letters we are sometimes the headings, the lines,
The chapters, the verses, the comas, the full stops which
Are all important.

Sometimes we forget that there are those who take serious
What we do slightly and think there hasn't been any impact made.

Sometimes we forget that the power to do good to others
Lies within us and when we release it we are bound to be
Affected by the same.

Sometimes we ignore the fact that whatever we sow is what
We reap in life

Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes.

#Michael #Jordan

*Michael Jordan* was an African-American man, born in 1963, in the slums of Brooklyn, New York.

He had four brothers and his father's wages were not sufficient to provide for the whole family.

He grew up in a poor neighbourhood which was full of discrimination, to the point where he could not see any hope for the future.

When he was 13 years old, his father gave him a piece of used clothing and asked: "What do you think the value of this outfit would be?"

Jordan replied, "Maybe one dollar."
His father asked, "Can you sell it for two dollars? If you can sell it, it would mean that you are a big help
to your father and mother. "

Jordan nodded his head, "I'll try, but no guarantee that I'll be successful."
Jordan carefully washed the clothes clean. Because they didn't have an iron, to smoothen out clothes, he leveled it with a clothes brush on a flat board, then kept it in the sun to dry. The next day, he brought the clothes to a crowded underground station. After offering it for more than six hours. Jordan finally managed to sell it for $2. He took the two dollar bill and ran home.

After that, everyday he was looked for used clothing, washed and ironed it and sold it in the crowd.

More than ten days later, his father again gave him a piece of used clothing, "Now think of a way that you can sell these clothes for 20 bucks?"
Jordan said, "How is it possible? This outfit can only fetch two dollars at the most. "

His father replied in an effort to inspire him, "Why don't you try it first? There must be a way."

Finally, Jordan got an Idea He asked for cousin's help to paint a picture of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse on the garment. Then he tried to sell it in the school where the children of the rich study. Soon a housekeeper, who was there to pick his master, bought clothes for his master. The master was a little boy of only 10 years but was very fond of clothes. He loved it so much and he gave a five dollar tip. 25 dollars was a huge amount for Jordan, the equivalent of a month's salary of his father.

When he got home, his father gave him yet another piece of used clothing. "Are you able to resell it at a price of 200 dollars?" His eyes lit up.

This time, Jordan accepted the clothes without the slightest doubt. Two months later a popular movie actress from the movie "Charlie's Angels", Farah Fawcett came to New York for her Movie promos. After the press conference, Jordan made his way through the security forces to reach the side of Farah Fawcett and requested her autograph on the piece of clothing. When Fawcett saw this innocent child asking for her autograph, she gladly signed it.

Jordan was shouting very excitedly, "This is a jersey signed by Miss Farah Fawcett, the selling price is 200 dollars!"He auctioned off the clothes, to a businessman for a price of 1,200 dollars!

Upon returning home, his father by broke into tears & said, "I am amazed that you did it my child!

You're really great! "

That night, Jordan slept alongside his father. His father said, "Son, in your experience selling these three pieces of clothing, what did you learn about success?"

Jordan replied, "Where there's a will, there's a way."

His father nodded his head, then shook his head, "What you say is not entirely wrong! But that was not my intention.

I just wanted to show you that even a piece of used clothing which is worth only a dollar can be increased in value, Then how about us - living & thinking humans? We may be darker and poorer, but what's the difference? "

This thought enlightened young Jordan. When a piece of used clothing could be made dignified, then why not me?

There is absolutely no reason to underestimate myself.

From then on, Michael Jordan felt that his future would be beautiful and full of hope.

Our potential is so great, and should not be viewed small & low only because of our status, looks or wealth. Even a diamond is just a stone before it has been polished.

This too shall pass,
Believe in yourself, you are stronger than you think, Keep trying your best and striving ahead and stay blessed forever!

The #Universal #Law is the Law of #At traction

*The Universal Law is the Law of Attraction*

What you get out of life is exactly what you put into it. Happiness is thought first, and then your feelings follow. What you (or your ego) verbalize to you on a regular basis is exactly what you will get, because you've already defeated yourself. You've given yourself permission to quit.

If you want to change your life, your karma, your state of mind, all you have to do is learn to "think" differently. Learn to think positive thoughts. Decide beforehand that you are going to be happy, or that you are going to like something, and you will!

This is a double-edge sword, because when you change your thoughts to positive ones, you attract positive people, which in turn, begets better outcomes and opportunities for yourself.

Don't think so? Then think about this: When you meet someone and they are happy, full of life, treat you like you are special, how does that make you feel? You want to be around people who make you feel good. It's human nature! So, if you start "feeling good" on your own - if you make the decision to be happy, you will attract that! You will attract people who will want to help you. Your life will get better, because Like Begets Like. The Universal Law is the Law of Attraction.

If you want to continue being negative, then that is exactly what you will attract. It's bad Karma to be negative, so be happy. If your life sucks right now, then be happy for what is good. If you examine it hard enough, you can find something to be grateful about - even if the only thing you can find to be grateful about is that God loves you and will be there for you if you'll let Him. I once read that it is folly to place your faith in man, because man will disappoint you. Place your faith in God and He will never let you down.

If none of this helps you to be happy, then it's time to forget your self-interest and focus on others. Make other people happy and you will reap the rewards, because the Law of the Universe works, whether you believe it or not. Try it and watch the miracle unfold!

It is monsoon time again & when we use our car, we use our car windshield wipers.

I will never forget this conversation I had with my son.

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my son, spoke up from his relaxed position in his seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something."

This announcement usually meant he had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that his eight-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain!" he began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond.
"That's really good, son."

Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little guy take
this revelation? So I asked, "Do you notice how the rain
keeps on coming? What does that tell you?"

He didn't hesitate one moment with his answer:
"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

What a profound thought & one which I will always remember whenever I turn my wipers on.

God teaches us, always forgive those who have sinned against you.
Forgiveness is pure happiness. Pure happiness is achieved because when you forgive a person who has done you harm, you detoxify yourself of all negative energy, free your mind and purify your soul and body.

As long as we don't forgive people who hurt us, they occupy a rent free space in our mind.

This too shall pass,
Forgive and forget and stay blessed forever.

#Lemon juice#lemonade

Sharing a post from a friend.

"I still remember the day I was preparing fresh lime water for the first time...I ended up adding almost five times the amount of lemon than needed. It was a disaster.I had to correct it anyhow.

How I wish I could remove some lemon juice from water to make it taste perfect again! But alas!

Some things can never be undone. Some things can never be changed. There was no way that I know of, to remove the extra lime. So what was the solution then? The only way to correct this was to add four more glasses of water and dilute the lemon juice to make five glasses of fresh lime water.

This made me think.. Sometimes we cannot undo some things that have gone wrong in life. Some wrong decisions, wrong choices, wrong investments, wrong actions, wrong associations, wrong words or wrong doings can never be undone.

So what is the solution then?

When you cannot correct what is wrong, do not waste more time over it. It is like attempting to remove lemon from water.

Instead, get busy in adding so many right things in your life that the wrong seems insignificant.
We all have a negative side to ourselves. We may not be able to remove or correct all our negativities. But we can definitely continue adding positive thoughts, positive reading and positive people in our lives and dilute the negativity. We all have to deal with some easy people and some difficult people in our lives.

Do not waste time trying to change the difficult people. You will drain all your emotional energy in vain. Instead spend more time with the pleasant positive happy people and the difficult people will not affect you any more.

Everything in your life will never be perfect. Do not waste too much time correcting what is wrong.

Get busy doing the right things ...."

Who is your fallback..!!👌🏼👌🏼

People help you the way they know to help you. To help you to come out of stress, one friend will ask you to drink and another will ask you to meditate.

To overcome hurt, one friend will ask you to take revenge and get even, and another will ask you to forgive and get ahead with your life. 'Who is your fallback' makes all the difference.

Duryodhana's predicament, in his own words, was, "I know what is right but I am not able to indulge in it. I know what is wrong but I am not able to avoid it." He needed a fallback. His fallback was his uncle Shakuni, and resultantly, Duryodhana moved from bad to worse.

Arjuna's predicament was different. He was allowing his personal emotions to dominate his sense of duty, and hence wanted to escape from the responsibilities he had towards upholding righteousness. He needed a fallback. His fallback was Krishna, and resultantly, Arjuna was restored to his greatness.

Humans we are, at some point or the other, we all need a fallback. 'Who is your fallback' makes all the difference.

*Choose Well👍*

My story in 5 paragraphs. I bet it is yours too.

Paragraph One

I walk down the street.
There is an open sink hole I didn't notice.
I fall in.
I am hurt. I am helpless.
It isn't my fault. I cry and complain.
It takes a life time to come out.

Paragraph Two

I walk down the street.
There is an open sink hole I didn't notice.
I pretend it does not exist.
I fall in again.
I can't believe my bad luck.
But, it isn't my fault. It's all destiny.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Paragraph Three

I walk down the same street.
There is an open sink hole.
I see it is there.
I still fall in … it's a habit.
It is my fault. I accept responsibility.
I grimace and get out immediately.

Paragraph Four

I walk down the same street.
I can see the open sink hole I knew was there.
I am alert.
I walk around it.

Paragraph Five

I walk down another street.

I was living paragraphs 1,2,3 for a long time. Life had no progress. Happiness was rare. Today, paragraphs 4 and 5 dominate my life. Hence, if you ask me, "Sonal, how are you? My reply would be, "I am on Top of the World." Progress and happiness are my constant companions.

*Which paragraph dominates your life, my dear friend?*

Change your thoughts. Change your life.

I have heard: a man went to the river to end his life. A Sufi fakir was sitting on the riverbank and he asked, "What are you doing?"

The man was just about to jump in. He said, "Don't stop me. It's too much! This life is nothing, everything is meaningless. I never got anything I wanted, I always got what I wanted to avoid. God is against me, so why should I continue this life?"

The fakir said, "Wait, stay one more day – then you can die. What's the rush? You say you don't have anything?"

The man replied, "Nothing at all. If I had anything, why would I come to take my life?"

The fakir said, "Come with me. The king of this place is my friend." The fakir took him to the king and he whispered something in the king's ear. The king said, "I can offer you a million rupees." The man heard only this, he couldn't hear what the fakir had whispered. The king said, "I can give you a million rupees."

The fakir went to the man and whispered in his ear, "The king is ready to buy both your eyes for a million rupees: will you sell them?"

The man said, "What do you mean? I? Sell my eyes! For a million rupees! Even if he offers ten million I am not going to part with them."

The fakir again consulted the king, and then he said, "Okay, he can give you eleven million." The man said, "Drop the whole idea. I am not doing this kind of business. Why should I sell my eyes?"

The fakir asked, "Will you sell your ears? How about your nose? The king is ready to purchase any part of your body, and at whatever price you ask."

The man said, "No. I won't participate in this business. Why should I sell anything?"

The fakir said, "Look, you are not ready to sell your eyes even for eleven million rupees, and last night you were going to kill yourself. You said you didn't have a thing."

We cannot see what we have. Just think about these eyes. What a miracle! The eye is made from skin, it is a part of the skin, but the eye can see. How crystal clear it is! The impossible has become possible. These ears can hear music, the sweet songs of birds, the murmuring of breezes, the roar of the ocean. These ears are made from skin and bones. Look at this miracle.

You are! This is such a great miracle. Can you imagine a greater miracle? In this body of flesh, bones and blood the lamp of consciousness is burning. Just assess the value of this lamp of consciousness.

No, you have no eyes for it. You say you need a job paying a hundred rupees, but you get one at ninety rupees and you are ready to commit suicide. Or you wanted to have a big house but you got a small one and it seems life has no meaning. Or you go bankrupt, your bank account empties, and you say "Why go on living?" Or you loved a woman and couldn't get her, or loved a man and couldn't get him. Now you want to die.

The more you desire, the more unhappy you are. The more you see how much you receive without desiring, the more indescribable gifts will shower on you, uncaused. What do you deserve? What have you done to deserve the life you have been given? What have you done that you can dance in the sun's rays for a moment or talk with the moon and stars? On what basis? What claim can you make?

On what basis do you claim the right to touch gentle breezes, and to sing sweetly, to be bubbling with joy, or to be able to meditate? What have you done for these gifts? All this has come to you – pure grace – and still you are miserable. Still you are complaining, still you are sad. Certainly this disease of the ego is consuming us. Everyone is infected with it.

#Four types of #intelligence

According to psychologists, there are four types of intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your comprehension ability", solve maths; memorize things and recall subject matters.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others; keep to time; be responsible; be honest; respect boundaries; be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ):
This is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go farther in life than those with high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize in improving IQ level while EQ and SQ are played down.

A person of high IQ can end up being employed by another of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your character; your SQ represents your charisma.

So consciously give in to habits that will improve these three Qs but more especially your EQ and SQ.

EQ and SQ make one manage better than the other.

Pls don't teach children only to have higher IQ , but also to have higher EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one :
A new paradigm

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ):
The measure of one's ability to go through a rough patch in life and come out without losing the mind.

AQ determines who will give up in face of troubles and may abandon their families.

*To parents & teachers*:
Expose children to other areas of life other than academic. One should adore manual work (never use work as a form of punishment) as also sport or art.

We must develop their EQ, SQ and AQ. We should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of the elders.

*Finally* do not prepare the road for the children. Prepare the children for the road.

*Everything is in your hands*

"A young chap went to a soothsayer to inquire about his future.

The soothsayer drew two circles. One in white and the other in black.

He then put a millipede in between the circles, saying "if the millipede crawls into the white circle, your future will be bright and very great,
but if it crawls into the black circle, then you are finished and doomed!
No future at all!".

As soon as the insect was dropped in between the circles, it began crawling towards the white circle.

This chap was super-excited.

But suddenly, as it got to the edge of the circle, it turned back and began crawling away from the white circle towards the black one.

The boy watched as the insect progressively moved farther away from his desire to his doom.

Then, just when the insect got to the edge of the black circle, this chap stretched his hands, picked it up and quickly but carefully dropped it in the white circle.

The soothsayer was in shock, he had never seen anyone intervene like this.
He annoyingly asked the chap what he did and why he did what he did.

The boy smiled and simply replied by saying "I cannot sit and watch my destiny go down the gloom doom. I will change the course myself while I can still do something about it."

"My destiny is in my hands"
and saying this the young boy got up and left."

You also get the hell up, pick up the damn millipede and drop it where you want.
The power to design and pilot your life is in your hands. You either sit down there, complain and feel someone owes you something or get up and determine the flow of your life. It's up to you.

This is not the time to look for miracles, create your miracles, conjure your own magic.
This too shall pass, take your destiny in your hands and shape it the way you want it.
Stay safe, have a great weekend & stay blessed forever.

*Be thankful. Be patient*............... A movie theater announced that an 8-minute movie won the title of Best Short Film in the World ...

So, it was decided to display this movie in the cinema for free, so that the largest crowd could gather to watch it ...

The movie began with a snapshot of a room ceiling that is devoid of any decoration and of any details; Just a white ceiling ...

3 minutes passed without the camera moving and it did not move to any other scene, or any other part of the ceiling in the same room ...

Another 3 minutes passed without the camera moving and without changing the scene ...

After 6 boring minutes, the viewers started grumbling; Some of them were about to leave the theater hall; And some of them objected to the officials of the house because they wasted their time watching a ceiling ...

Suddenly, before the majority became concerned and starting to leave, the camera lens slowly moved on a wall without any details as well until it reached down towards the floor, there a child appeared on a bed, who seems to be totally handicapped due to the spinal cord tare in his little body ...

The camera slowly moved to the side of the handicap bed, showing a wheelchair without a back ...

The camera moved to the boredom location of the ceiling again; To show a sentence: *"We showed you only 8 minutes of this child's daily activity, only 8 minutes from the scene that this handicapped child watches at all hours of his life, and you complained and weren't patient for only six minutes, you couldn't bear to watch it ..!* ...

So know the value of every second of your life that you spend in wellness, and thank your Lord for every blessing bestowed on you, and you will not feel its existence unless you lose it ...

We suffer from quarantine and the curfew, which is, God willing, for a limited time, and we do not know that there are millions who lived their entire lives in quarantine ...

Covid-19 has forced us to have the time to think about many privileges , and we thank God for the blessing of the freedom of movement and out of the house to see life, breathe the air, and practice activity in its various colors ...

Praise be to God for what God has blessed us with of which we have not realized...

*We thank God for the blessings ever and forever* ... *

*A reflection on friends & family groups...*

"A man, who regularly attended meetings with his friends, without any notice stopped participating in his activities.

After a few weeks, one very cold night the leader of that group decided to visit him.

He found the man at home, alone, sitting in front of a fireplace where a bright and cozy fire burned. Guessing the reason for the visit, the man welcomed the leader. There was a great silence.

The two men only watched the dancing flames around the logs that crackled in the fireplace.

After a few minutes the leader, without saying a word, examined the embers that formed and selected one of them, the most incandescent of all, removing it to the side of the brazier with a pair of tongs. Then he sat down again.

The host was paying attention to everything, fascinated but restless. Before long, the lone ember flame subsided, until there was only a momentary glow and the fire suddenly went out.

In a short time, what was a sample of light and heat, was nothing more than a black, cold and dead piece of coal.

Very few words had been spoken since the greeting.

The leader, before preparing to leave, with the pliers returned the cold and useless coal, placing it again in the middle of the fire. Immediately, the ember was rekindled, fueled by the light and heat of the burning coals around him.

When the leader reached the door to leave, the host said: Thank you for your visit and for your beautiful lesson. I will return to the group.

Why are groups extinguished.....?

Very simple:
Because each member that withdraws takes fire and heat from the rest.

It is worth reminding members of a group that they are part of the flame.

It is good to remind you that we are all responsible for keeping each other's flame burning and we must promote the union between all so that the fire is really strong, effective and lasting.

*It does not matter if sometimes we are bothered by so many messages that reach the chat, what matters is to be connected, some of us are silent, others very active, the friends that we are meeting here are to meet, learn, exchange ideas, or simply know that we are not alone, that there is a group of friends, colleagues or family with whom we can count.*

Let's keep the flame alive. Although some report sporadically it is good to know that they keep their flame burning!

*"People fail because they try.*
*People try because they believe. People succeed because they still believed even when they failed."*

You can succeed if you keep believing in yourself.

The road is not an easy one, at times you may want to quit, but don't.

*Try again.*

Do you maybe need to re-think your approach, your tactics?

What's working?
What could be improved upon?

*You can do it, just keep going.* *Wish you a great week ahead*

The #art of #forgiveness

*The Art Of Forgiveness*

As humans, we sometimes find it hard to forgive those who hurt us. We're either too proud or stubborn and would rather ignore the situation and hold a grudge. Unknown to us, this just causes bitterness in our hearts or even creates health problems.

I believe that we are spiritual beings experiencing human life to learn lessons, to grow and become more aware of our connection to our soul and God. To forgive those who hurt you can only bring peace in your heart, letting go of the past, and letting the one who asked for forgiveness experience their own spiritual growth.

It does not change the past, what we went through, however the future has not happened yet; we only have today to make the best of our lives.

*Accept what is and let go of the need to know*

Have you ever felt that you must see justice done or understand why something happened in order to move on? The truth is, you may never discover the why behind an incident. Does that mean you should wait to forgive and to be at peace?

The Buddha once cautioned a student full of lofty questions not to become like the man who is shot with a poisoned arrow but will not allow the doctor to take it out until he knows the name of the man who wounded him, his height, what kind of string his bow was made of, and what kind of feathers made up its shaft. We all get hit by slings and arrows of outrageous fortune from time to time. Is it more important to know "Who was responsible for this? And how can I pay them back?" Or will you heal more quickly by taking out the poisoned arrow, honoring the ending, and setting yourself free?

Letting go is a step-by-step process and it is not always easy. Acknowledge your pain. Don't ignore your feelings, but don't allow your life to be hijacked by them either. Once you've given yourself time to process your emotions and grieve, whenever you notice your thoughts starting to wander along the twists and turns of the past, gently bring yourself back to the present. You may have to do this again and again. That's okay. Be patient with yourself.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai is paid $200 mn (double of 2015) because he brings value to the organization. Of course that compensation is structured with $198.7 mn of #ESOP (with a paltry salary of $650 k).

Those ESOPs ensure that future value is retained.

Young professionals should not bear false notions. You are paid based on the value you bring to your company.

And the salary of a particular position is always tied to the value that can be extracted.

I am drawing the attention of prospects who desire core finance jobs. While intellectually more stimulating, it's the salesperson who make the moolah.

Focus your energies on creating value for your organisation.

Employers in return should also be aware that if you don't recognise value, there is always another company which will.

Even in relationships when there is value only then will the other person invest.

If you focus everyday on how to bring value to others, you cant help but succeed.

Work on improving 1% everyday & after 1 year you get a 380% better individual as a reward.

Invest in yourself!

*The Truth About Failure*

Failure doesn't mean you are a failure...
it does mean you haven't succeeded yet

Failure doesn't mean you have accomplished nothing...
it does mean you have learned something

Failure doesn't mean you have been a fool...
it does mean you had a lot of faith

Failure doesn't mean you have been disgraced...
it does mean you were willing to try

Failure doesn't mean you don't have it...
it does mean you have to do something in a different way

Failure doesn't mean you are inferior...
it does mean you are not perfect

Failure doesn't mean you've wasted your life...
it does mean you've got a reason to start afresh

Failure doesn't mean you should give up...
it does mean you should try harder

Failure doesn't mean you'll never make it...
it does mean it will take a little longer

One of the toughest questions we hear today is, "Why?"

In life's pathway, we look at the good and the bad, always with the same question, "WHY?" We see the pain, the hurt, and the suffering in today's world. We ask ourselves, "WHY?" We see men's trials, the temptations, the injustices, the cruelties, the unfairness, the inequities, and we ask, "WHY?"

We see some men conquer their fears and overcome great obstacles. We see lowly men rise to prestigious positions. We see others who falter and can't keep a job or their self-respect. "WHY?"

We see the joy in a parent's eyes as they view their first born child. We see the hurt in the eyes of the parents of a stillborn. "WHY?" We see the joy in the family whose loved one has survived a major illness. We see the pain in the family whose loved one didn't survive.

"WHY?" "WHY?" "WHY?"

We do not have an adequate answer to this age-old question, but the below lines taken from Bob Stoess book *The Question Is Why?* may help us to deal with the question.

It matters not whether we ask "WHY?", of the good or the bad. We need to share of our burdens, as well as our rejoicings. We need to learn to trust. We need to have a strong faith. We need to remember, there is a sun even when it's not shining. We need to believe in love, although we not feel it. We need to reach out to others, although it is to risk involvement. We need to try, even though trying could bring failure. Even to live means we must die.

So, be honest with yourself. Expose your feelings. Ask questions. God is big enough to carry you when you can't walk the pathway alone. You will know when you share of yourself that your burdens are divided. You will also know when you give of yourself, you will receive a double portion in return.

Remember, life is for living. Give it your best. Each of us has but a short time here on earth to know, "WHY?"

#Time to #think #coronavirus

*Will you pay your maids, drivers and househelps if they are unable to come to work from their home?* Time to think.

Many of us who have tech and tech related jobs find it fairly convenient to exercise the choice and the right to work from home. The work gets done. Productivity is higher. You are available online. All of that. And so you get paid for your labour.

And just as you do get paid, think of those who may not be able to deliver their usual work because their jobs are different. If you employee people in unskilled jobs, would you offer them the same courtesy that you expect from your employers?

I know the answer is not easy. But these are not easy times either.

It may take a month, it may take more for the coronovirus crisis to get over. The people most affected would be the ones who are in unorganised sector jobs. All of a sudden you will not need a driver because you are grounded home. The maid will not show up for work because her children are at home and her husband does not have his daily work. The person who works in a roadside eatery has nobody to serve and thus is not needed. Labourers are likely get laid off for no fault of theirs. Poor children will miss their school midday meal. Probably their only good meal of the day.

During a period like this, it is the weakest who suffer the most. If they don't get their daily wage, they won't have enough savings or find money or the credit to put bread on the table. And God forbid if they do catch the virus, they will not have the same level of care and comfort that you and I are so fortunate to have.

Yes we will survive this. Emotionally, financially, socially. Question is will they?

The best of humanity shines through during worst of the times. It is at this time we must all think of those who are dependent on our incomes for their daily livelihood. If you continue to get paid, please pay them too. Whether they are able to work or not. It isn't about whether this is fair, it is about what is the right thing to do in times like these.

This crisis was not of their making. Do not punish them if they aren't able to do what they need to do during this challenging time. They will only be grateful.

Today is the time for us all to commit to stand up for each other and give everyone the confidence that you will be there for them during this tough time. Just as they are for you. Every single day.

God bless!

PS: I would love if you are able to share this. Who knows you may save someone their daily bread.

A person started to walk on a rope tied between two tall towers at several hundred feet above the ground. He is slowly walking balancing a long stick in his hands. He has his son sitting on his shoulders.

Everyone down were watching him in bated breath and were tensed. He slowly reached the second tower. Everyone clapped, whistled and welcomed him. They shook hands and took selfies.

He asked the crowd "do you all think I can walk back on the same rope now from this side to that side?". Crowd shouted "Yes, Yes, you can".

*Do you trust me he asked* They said yes, yes we are ready to bet on you.

He said okay, can any one of you sit on my shoulder; I will take you to the other side safely.

Everyone became quite. There was stunned silence.

*Belief is different. Trust is different. For Trust you need total surrender*

This is what we are lacking towards God in today's world.

We believe in God. But we don't trust Him.

This too shall pass, trust God & stay blessed forever.

I heard that we are in the same boat.

But it's not like that.

We are in the same storm, but not in the same boat.

Your ship can be shipwrecked and mine might not be.

Or vice versa.
For some, quarantine is optimal: moment of reflection, of re-connection. Easy, in flip flops, with a whiskey or tea.

For others, this is a desperate crisis.

For others it is facing loneliness.

For some, a peace, rest time, vacation.

Yet for others, Torture: How am I going to pay my bills?

Some were concerned about a brand of chocolate for Easter (this year there were no rich chocolates).

Others were concerned about the bread for the weekend, or if the noodles would last for a few more days.

Some were in their "home office" .

Others are looking through trash to survive.

Some want to go back to work because they are running out of money.

Others want to kill those who break the quarantine.

Some need to break the quarantine to stand in line at the banks.

Others to escape.

Others criticize the government for the lines.

Some have experienced the near death of the virus, some have already lost someone from it, some are not sure their loved ones are going to make it, and some don't even believe this is a big deal.

Some of us who are well now may end up experiencing it, and some believe they are infallible and will be blown away if or when this hits someone they know

Some have faith in God and expect miracles during this 2020.

Others say the worse is yet to come.

So, friends, we are not in the same boat.
We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different.

And each one will emerge, in his own way, from that storm.

Some with a tan from their pool. Others with scars on the soul (for invisible reasons).

It is very important to see beyond what is seen at first glance. Not just looking, more than looking, seeing.

See beyond the political party, beyond religion, beyond the nose on your face.

Do not underestimate the pain of others if you do not feel it.

Do not judge the good life of the other, do not condemn the bad life of the other.
Don't be a judge.
Let us not judge the one who lacks, as well as the one who exceeds him.

We are on different ships looking to survive.

Let everyone navigate their route with respect, empathy and responsibility.

I do not consider this as ISOLATION/Lockdown having to stay at home with whom we love.

*Isolation is what the seriously ill are experiencing in hospital.*

Stop saying that you are bored, upset that you can't leave the house; *while everyone in the hospital wants to go home.*

So, thank God if you have to stay at home, because despite everything, with money or without money, with a job or without a job, *you are in the best place you could be, at home, surrounded by who loves you!*

Perhaps it is time to transform your house into a wonderful place to stay, *a place of peace and not of war, of embrace and not of distance.*

Anyway, look with different eyes at the situation you are experiencing !!

*Make your house a party:* Listen to music, sing, dance......

*Make your house a temple:* Pray, pray, meditate, ask, thank, praise, plead ...

*Make your home a school:* Read, write, draw, paint, study, learn, teach ...

*Make your house a store:* Clean, order, organize, decorate, label, move, sell, donate ...

*Make your house a restaurant:* cook, eat, try, create recipes, grow spices, plant a garden ...

Anyway ...
*make your house, your family, a place of love.*"

Make the best possible use of this *once-in-a-lifetime* opportunity....

*You don't need a new day to start over You only need a NEW MINDSET*

There was a famous Guru who was known for his cure for various ailments especially arthritis.
There was once a long line of people waiting at his Ashram when an old lady, completely bent over, leaning on her cane walked in.
She had to be helped inside the Guru's chambers.
Amazingly, she emerged after some time walking completely erect with her head held high.
A woman waiting at the door of the Guru's Chamber said, "It's a miracle! You walked in bent in half & now in no time, you are walking erect. What did the Guruji do?"
The old lady replied, "He gave me a longer Cane."
Most of our problems arise out of habits and bad support. Change your mindset, change the support & the problem is cured.
Get a longer Cane & stay blessed forever.

If corona virus situation have caused you hardships, then read this story.

*I Have Lost My Only Son*

A mother lost her only son. She was very heartbroken. She asked Buddha to bring him back. Buddha promised he will, provided she bring a mustard seed from the family who has never lost the loved ones.

She went door to door asking for the seed. When she would ask, "Has anyone in your family has lost someone?"

The answer was always YES.

Buddha was trying to make her understand no matter how much she had suffered, she wasn't alone.

I am sure in this corona virus times, you have lost something. It can be anything small as - your vacation trip, hang out with friends, shopping in mall or to something as serious as - your source of income or health.

In this scenario, it becomes easy to be sad and blame others or government. But when you realize that others are also facing hardships, that time you become calmer.

Definitely seeing others' suffer will not reduce your pain but it definitely gives you strength as you realize you are not alone in this.

*Thank you corona virus,*

Dear Corona,

While most of the world is petrified by your presence and chaotic about the impact you can bring in the world, I thought of writing to you about what I am grateful to you for.

1. *You are beautiful. fragile and yet powerful.*
When I saw your picture, I realised the power a simple, beautiful structure can hold that it can move the entire world.

You reminded us of the power a beautiful, simple body can hold and now that can used it wisely.

2. *The Relevance of a PAUSE.*
As you worked your numbers around the world, the leaders and organisations had to PAUSE and restructure their functioning.

We as a human race needed to do it anyways. You worked as a reminder.

We now pause and reflect on our values, our science and progress and have an opportunity to redirect them.

3. *Back to BASICS* You reminded us of The Significance of hygiene. As much as we all knew about washing hands and coughing correctly, we had started taking it for granted.

Thanks to you, we have started paying attention to the smaller details and the steps involved. We are grateful to our body and it's immunity.

4. *We are United*
Amongst all this chaos, we realise that our human race stands united. We are dealing with this pandemic with so much more integrity and unity. We are helping each other curb this problem without causing conflicts or panic. Something as big as closing borders and trades is being handled with grace and precaution.

5. *The Economy Balance*
We remind ourself that as human beings, all areas of our lives are interconnected and get affected equally. In this economy drop, a lot of imbalances will settle and as we are given a chance to work on our financial mind prints we shall rebuild ourselves and our finances once again to a new level of prosperity.

6. *The Gift of Time*
This is one of the most priceless gifts we received from you. Even if most of us did not realise, the sudden cancellations of conferences, travelling plans and schools shutting down, gave us so many extra hours with each other.

We now can spend those little moments knowing our family members a little more, playing board games, picking up the paint brush or reading a book.

In stead of googling the latest panic news about you, we could use this time to reflect and redirect our life and what's important to us.

7. *The Choice of Thoughts and Words*
Times like these, we are tempted to give in to the chaos. We (unknowingly) become the broadcasters of fear and panic. The last few weeks gave us an opportunity to discern the real from unreal news. It also helped us to choose our thoughts and words wisely and not give in to the fake power of panic.

*I end this letter by once more expressing my gratitude and love to you for the lessons you brought to our human race.*

*It was time we woke up.*

*We have taken the necessary steps of precautions at individual, organisational and country levels and we stand united even as we have shut down our borders.*

*We shall rise from this situation with much more awareness and learning.*

*We learn our lessons in kindness, compassion, unity and strength.*

*We realise that real power is in Love and Oneness and not in fear and separation.*

*Thank you so much dear Corona, for bringing us to this realisation and awareness that we needed as a human race.*

*As we now rebuild ourselves in a new paradigm, we believe that you shall leave us with clues on how to handle you more efficiently and vehemently*.

*Thank you for driving us to the lessons we needed to learn*

*We send love and healing to all affected and families of those who have irreparable losses*

*Lovingly Yours*

Admitting our faults, shortcomings, and weaknesses define us as human.

Acknowledging and attempting to overcome them is the conception of healing."

*The one who is humble is always successful*

Expression: The one who is humble is free from desires and is in a state of appreciation and contentment of what he has. So he does not want to prove to himself that he is successful. He only enjoys the process of learning and progressing. He is never deterred by criticism and takes it in the right spirit.

Experience: Humility enables me to appreciate the effort put in by those around me. I would naturally be able to see the specialities in others and respect them for it. There would be no feeling of envy. So I would naturally be able to have the quality of contributing for the progress of others too.

#Positives in #Negatives

_*A wonderful Life Message.*_

*_Positives in Negatives!_*

_A young woman was sitting at her dining table, worried about taxes to be paid, house-work to be done and to top it all, her extended family was coming over for festival lunch the next day. She was not feeling very thankful at that time._

_As she turned her gaze sideways, she noticed her young daughter scribbling furiously into her notebook._

_"My teacher asked us to write a paragraph on *"Negative Thanks giving"* for homework today."_

_Said the daughter._

_"She asked us to write down things that we are thankful for, things that make us feel not so good in the beginning, but turn out to be good after all."_

_With curiosity, the mother peeked into the book. This is what her daughter wrote:_

_"I'm thankful for Final Exams, because that means school is almost over._

_I'm thankful for bad-tasting medicine, because it helps me feel better._

_I'm thankful for waking up to alarm clocks, because it means I'm still alive."_

_It then dawned on the mother, that she had a lot of things to be thankful for!_

_She thought again…_

_She had to pay taxes but that meant she was fortunate to be employed._

_She had house-work to do but that meant she had a shelter to live in._

_She had to cook for her many family members for lunch but that meant she had a family with whom she could celebrate._

_We generally complain about the negative things in life but we fail to look at the positive side of it._

_What is the positive in your negatives? Look at the better part of life today and make ur everyday a great day._

*_Be happy and blessed always_*.

Completing a marathon makes us happier than eating a chocolate cake. Raising a child makes us happier than beating a video game. Starting a small business with friends and struggling to make money makes us happier than buying a new computer.

And the funny thing is that all three of the activities above are exceedingly unpleasant and require setting high expectations and potentially failing to always meet them. Yet, they are some of the most meaningful moments and activities of our lives. They involve pain, struggle, even anger and despair, yet once we've done them we look back and get misty-eyed about them.

Because it's these sorts of activities that allow us to become our ideal selves. It's the perpetual pursuit of fulfilling our ideal selves that grants us happiness, regardless of superficial pleasures or pain, regardless of positive or negative emotions. This is why some people are happy in war and others are sad at weddings. It's why some are excited to work and others hate parties. *The traits they're inhabiting don't align with their ideal selves.*

The end results don't define our ideal selves.
*It's not finishing the marathon that makes us happy; it's achieving a difficult long-term goal that does. It's not having an awesome kid to show off that makes us happy; it's knowing that you gave yourself up to the growth of another human being that is special. It's not the prestige and money from the new business that makes you happy, it's the process of overcoming all odds with people you care about.*

And this is the reason that trying to be happy inevitably will make you unhappy. Because to try to be happy implies that you are not already inhabiting your ideal self, you are not aligned with the qualities of who you wish to be. After all, if you were acting out your ideal self, then you wouldn't feel the need to try to be happy.

Cue statements about "finding happiness within," and "knowing that you're enough." It's not that happiness itself is in you, it's that happiness occurs when you decide to pursue what's in you.

And this is why happiness is so fleeting. Anyone who has set out major life goals for themselves only to achieve them and realize that they feel the same relative amounts of happiness/unhappiness knows that happiness always feels like it's around the corner, just waiting for you to show up.
No matter where you are in life, you will always perceive there to be one more thing you need to do to be especially happy. But it too, will be a mirage.
And that's because our ideal self is always just around that corner, always three steps ahead of us. We dream of being a musician and when we're a musician, we dream of writing a film score, and when write a film score, we dream of writing a screenplay. And what matters isn't that we achieve each of these plateaus of success, but that we're consistently moving towards them, day after day, month after month, year after year. The plateaus will come and go, and we'll continue following our ideal self down the path of our lives.
And with that, with regards to finding happiness, it seems the best advice is also the simplest: Imagine who you want to be and then step towards it. Dream big and then do something. Anything. The simple act of moving at all will change how you feel about the entire process and serve to inspire you further.
Let go of the imagined result—it's not necessary. The fantasy and the dream are merely tools to get you off your ass. It doesn't matter if they come true or not.

Live, man. Just live.

Stop trying to be happy and just be.

*To be a master means to use the right power at the right time*

Expression: To be a master means to be aware of the internal qualities that one has. Also it is the ability to use these qualities as and when required. That means to be able to give an order and put into use in a second whatever internal power or virtue that is required at that time. If there is an awareness of the positive quality, and not the ability to put it into use within a second, it would not be called total mastery.

Experience: When I am a master I am able to have an experience of having control over whatever is happening around me. Even if something comes up suddenly, I still am able to feel the control over the situation and make the best out of it. I neither feel helpless nor blame others for what is happening.

Rex mother used to ask him what is the most important part of the body? Through the years he would take a guess at what he thought was the correct answer.

When he was younger, he thought sound was very important to everyone as humans, so he said, "My ears, Mommy."

She said, "No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon."

Several years passed before she asked him again. Since making his first attempt, he had contemplated the correct answer.

So this time he told her, "Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes."

She looked at him and told me, "You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind."

Stumped again, he continued his quest for knowledge and over the years, Mother asked him a couple more times and always her answer was, "No. But you are getting smarter every year, my child."

Then last year, his grandpa died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even his father cried. He remember that especially because it was only the second time he saw him cry. His Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final good-bye to Grandpa.

She asked him, "Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?"

He was shocked when she asked him this now. He always thought this was a game between her and him.

She saw the confusion on Rex face and told him , "This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in your life. For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you were wrong and I have given you an example why. But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson."

She looked down at Rex as only a mother can. He saw her eyes well up with tears.

She said, "My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder."

Rex asked, "Is it because it holds up my head?"

She replied, "No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it."

Then and there Rex knew the most important body part is not a selfish one.
It is sympathetic to the pain of others.
