I AM A WOMAN!!! -
So what?
I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, I feel the pain, yet they tell me I provoked him. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him.
I get into an argument with a man, I slap him, they tell me I have no respect, no home training. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him.
Because I am a woman, I don't have a right to be angry. So, the degree of my innocence is directly proportional to the degree of my silence in the face of oppression and brutality.....
Because I am a woman, my husband cheats on me, I am told to tolerate it to save my marriage. The barbaric and stupid excuse is that ''it is in their nature to cheat, I should slim down, dress better, cook better, pray harder and be more pleasant to him"
I cheat, and I am called a whore, I have committed an abomination, I have no right to look elsewhere for the love and emotional support I lack at home, I am an irresponsible mother.
So I am sent packing, from the home we both built, with all my earthly possessions stuffed into a tiny box on my head. I am henceforth forbidden from seeing my two older children, I'm lucky to be allowed to go with my little one still suckling on my left breast. Three years later, the little one is tagged a bastard. Now, my new name is "after-three", because I am a woman.
He is 28 and runs a company. He's tagged wonderful, hardworking, focused, career oriented, successful at a very young age.
I am 28 and I run a company " Hmmmm, she is not even married, unserious, can not order her priorities right, a hustler, loves money, let her go and get a husband oh"
And I wonder if being successful has anything to do with a person's gender.
Because I am a woman,
I am not allowed to have wits or be a prodigy, I cannot be financially buoyant, professionally successful or be treated with respect without a man beside me.
Then I am tagged a generous leg opener, "a runs girl". They never see the possibility that I actually had to go through ups and downs to get to where I am.
Because I am a woman.
A man looses his wife to death and remarries a year after, he did the right thing, he's being praised and congratulated for moving on, after all life is for the living.
A woman looses her husband to death and remarries after 4yrs, "ahhh! so early? Are u sure she wasn't sleeping with that man even when her husband was alive? That was why she killed her husband. She's a witch! " Because she's a woman.
Because I am a woman, this post will be considered controversial, and everyone will try to correct me.
But don't forget, that I am a woman and it does not make me less human!!!

#Five and #alive
*Five And Alive*
I grew up very poor and with a single mom in the throws of addiction. Often there was no money for food, and I was hungry a lot.
On my fifth birthday (1986), a couple close family members were invited to go to a park to celebrate my birthday. No cake, no presents, not a problem. Except for my auntie. She had an envelope in her hand.
Before everyone sang happy birthday, I saw a little boy, probably my age, and a woman, digging in the park dumpster for food. Something happened to me. I begged my mom to invite them to my party but my mother was not a fan of strangers. She said no.
I was intrigued, I didn't know others struggled like me, it hurt my heart. I watched them as everyone sang. I watched them when my auntie handed me an envelope. I watched them as I opened it until I saw the contents, a crisp 100 dollar bill. My mother was enraged that my auntie would give me such a large amount of money. I think my auntie trusted me more than my mother with cash.
We were poor, I didn't eat 3 days a week, I had a very hard childhood. But I had never dug in a dumpster for food. The struggle, the suffering, I had never seen anyone else struggle. It just wasn't right if it could be prevented.
My auntie kept talking to my mother, telling me, I can do ANYTHING I want with that money. So I did. I walked to the dumpster to the boy and his mother. I explained to the boy that it was my birthday and my one present was a $100, and I wanted to give it to them. There were so many tears and thank yous.
I and my auntie understood how powerful it was to give the only money I've ever seen away.
*Debriefing of this Story*
We always feel that our life is hard and it is so unfair to us. But when you actually go out and meet poor people, you will realize that how many good things you have taken for granted.
Start helping others in any small way possible, will not reduce your problems but will surely give you more strength to withstand it.

#Simply #your #life
Abstract of what I read today -
Book - 100 ways to simplify your life.
We all live our lives that leave us frustrated, confused, weary and worn out, sucked up in the system, wasting years hoping life would change.
Life itself, doesnt change. And if it changes, it could be for the better sometimes, and sometimes for the worse, life is unpredictable, life seems complicated.
Life can never be simple UNLESS we learn to approach all things simply.
Our ATTITUDE towards each event in life, determines, how easy or complex each situation will be.
Read again slowly
Our ATTITUDE towards each event in life, determines, how easy or complex each situation will be.
Life, circumstances and people around us, do not need to change. It is we who need to change.
Our problem isnt the problem, we are the problem.
We kill our own joys, with complications.
Change urself.
Change ur approach, attitude.
Trust God.
Accept.
Surrender.
Faith is simple.
A childlike approach to life is simple.
Life is simple.

#Password #therapy
*|| Password Therapy ||*
Based on a True story.....
I was having a great morning until I sat down in front of my office computer. "your password has expired", a server message flashed on my screen, with instructions for changing it...In my company we have to change password monthly..
I was deeply depressed after my recent divorce. Disbelief over what she had done to me was what I thought all day.
I remembered a tip I'd heard from my former boss. He'd said, "I'm going to use a password that is going to change my life". I couldn't focus on getting things done in my current mood.. My password reminded me that I shouldn't let myself be a victim of my recent breakup and that I was strong enough to do something about it.
I made my password – Forgive@her. I had to type this password several times every day, each time my computer would lock. Each time I came back from lunch I wrote forgive her.
The simple action changed the way I looked at my ex-wife.. That constant reminder of reconciliation led me to accept the way things happened and helped me deal with my depression.. By the time the server prompted me to change my password following month, I felt free.
The next time I had to change my password I thought about the next thing that I had to get done. My password became Quit@smoking4ever .
It motivated me to follow my goal and I was able to quit smoking.
One month later, my password became Save4trip@europe, and in three months I was able to visit Europe.
Reminders helped me materialize my goals kept me motivated and excited. it's sometimes difficult to come up with your next goal, keeping at it brings great results.
After a few months my password was
life is beautiful

*When to be silent?*
*WHEN TO BE SILENT?*
*It is said that silence gets you to your point better than speaking, there are great virtues in silence. Silence is a true friend that never betrays, so it is better to:*
*Be silent* - In the heat of anger.
*Be silent* - When you don't have all the facts.
*Be silent* - When you haven't verified the story.
*Be silent* - If your words will offend a weaker Person.
*Be silent* - When it is time to listen.
*Be silent* - When you are tempted to make light of holy things.
*Be silent* - When you are tempted to joke about sin.
*Be silent* - If you would be ashamed of your word later.
*Be silent* - If your words would convey the wrong impression.
*Be silent* - If the issue is none of your business.
*Be silent* - When you are tempted to tell an outright lie.
*Be silent* - If your words will damage someone else's reputation.
*Be silent* - If your words will damage a friendship.
*Be silent* - When you are feeling critical.
*Be silent* - If you can't say it without screaming.
*Be silent* - If your words will be a poor reflection of your friends and family.
*Be silent* - If you may have to eat your words later.
*Be silent* - If you have already said it more than one time.
*"WHOEVER GUARDS HIS MOUTH AND TONGUE KEEPS HIS SOUL FROM TROUBLES"*
*Silence is golden when you can't think of a good answer. - Muhammad Ali*
*Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. - Abraham Lincoln*
*He who does not know how to be silent will not know how to speak. - Ausonius*
*The silence could mean you are not worth the argument.*
*People of importance to you, who do not understand your silence will never understand your words*
*AND THE MOST IMPORTANT -*
*YOU WANT TO TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE?*
*SIT IN SILENCE*
