*WHEN YOU #THOUGHT I WASN'T #LOOKING*
*WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING*
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking, saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.
When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, "Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking."

*SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND, AND THEN TO BE UNDERSTOOD...*
When I was in elementary school, I got into a major argument with a boy in my class. I have forgotten what the argument was about, but I have never forgotten the lesson I learned that day.
I was convinced that 'I' was right and 'he' was wrong - and he was just as convinced that 'I' was wrong and 'he' was right.
The teacher brought us up to the front of the class and placed him on one side of her desk and me on the other.
In the middle of her desk was a large, round object. I could clearly see that it was black. She asked the boy what color the object was. "White," he answered.
I couldn't believe he said the object was white, when it was obviously black!
The teacher told me to go stand where the boy was standing and told him to come stand where I had been. We changed places, and now she asked me what the color of the object was. I had to answer, "White."
It was an object with two differently colored sides, and from his viewpoint it was white. Only from my side it was black.
Sometimes we need to look at the problem from the other person's view in order to truly understand their perspective.
*I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.*
*What we see depends mainly on what we look for.*
*Imagine you could open your eyes to see only the good in every person, the positive in every circumstance, and the opportunity in every challenge.*
*Leadership is communicating to people their worth and potential so clearly that they come to see it in themselves.*
*When the trust account is high communication is instant easy and effective.*
*Shift your thinking and watch your life shift...*
