#Watch your #words

*Scenario - 1*

A friend asked another,
"What did your husband gift you to celebrate your child's birth?"

The 2nd friend replied that he did not give her anything.😣

The 1st friend was surprised and questioned her friend as to whether this was a good thing.πŸ€” "Does he not value you at all?" 😀

After sowing the seed of such poisonous thoughts the 1st friend left, leaving her friend worried and doubtful.

After sometime the husband comes home from work and sees his wife's sullen face.
While enquiring about it both start fighting which leads to them cursing at each other which leads to physical fight and eventually a divorce.

*Do you know the root of this problem?*

It was just an unnecessary dialogue with a friend who had come to ask about her friends health.

*Scenario - 2*
Zain asked Hamed;

Z- "Where do you work?"
H- "In some store"

Z- "What is your monthly income?"
H- "18,000 Rupees"

Z- "Just 18,000? How do you live off so little?"
H- Breathes deeply. "What shall I say my friend!"

The conversation ends

A few days later Hamed become fed up of his job and asked his boss to increase his salary. The boss refuses and Hamed left the job and now has no job.
He had work before but now he has no work.

*Scenario - 3*
A neighbour spoke to an old man, who lived away from his son.

He asked him, "Your son comes to meet you very little. Does he not have any love for you?"

The old man replied that his son is a busy man and has a tight work schedule. He also has a wife and children, so he has very little time.

The first man said, "What do you mean! You brought him up, you nurtured him, fulfilled all his wishes and now you rationalize with yourself for no reason that because of his other engagements he does not have any time to meet you! I tell you this is only an excuse to not meet."

After this conversation, the old man started thinking about the conversation & disappointment started against the son started growing in the father's heart.

Whenever the son would come to meet after that the father would only keep thinking that he has time for everyone, except his father.

In our everyday life, questions that seem very innocent to us, like....

"Why did you not buy anything for me?"
"Why don't you have this?"
"How can you spend your whole life with this person?"
"How can you believe him?"

We unknowingly ask many such questions innocently without thinking of their consequences on others.

Without thinking about the seeds of doubt & hate we are about to plant in someone's heart.

In today's times if we go to the root of all the chaos and fights that are happening around us, most often it will be because of someone else. They don't realize that whatever they said intentionally or unintentionally can destroy someone's life.

Do not become a trouble maker and a spreader of doubt and evil.

Enter other people's home blind and leave it deaf.

*Remember the words that leave your mouth have a deep and massive effect on others.*

Let us be more aware of what words we chose to show our concern for others πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’

When do you feel good about yourself??

When do you feel good about yourself...?

If you're like most people, you feel good when you accomplish something—reach a milestone or a goal—do something kind for someone else.

It can be as basic as washing your car or cleaning off your desk.

It might be simple as letting someone else go first in line at the store, or helping someone who needs assistance.

Such simple, daily acts can make you feel downright virtuous.

And that's the point.

If you want to feel good about yourself, do something to trigger that feeling.

Do something estimable.

Get something done.

Take action on your to-do list. Help someone.

Give to someone.
Take care of something that needs your attention.
Make a list of acts that make you feel good about yourself.

Then, whenever your attitude is a bit negative, or your mood is gloomy, or your self-esteem is in the basement—get out your list of estimable acts and do something on that list.

People who do good things feel good about themselves...

Start now...

Sonal jain announcement Dubai Nov 2017

Saturday 7 October 2017

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, "Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking."

When I was in elementary school, I got into a major argument with a boy in my class. I have forgotten what the argument was about, but I have never forgotten the lesson I learned that day.

I was convinced that 'I' was right and 'he' was wrong - and he was just as convinced that 'I' was wrong and 'he' was right.

The teacher brought us up to the front of the class and placed him on one side of her desk and me on the other.

In the middle of her desk was a large, round object. I could clearly see that it was black. She asked the boy what color the object was. "White," he answered.

I couldn't believe he said the object was white, when it was obviously black!

The teacher told me to go stand where the boy was standing and told him to come stand where I had been. We changed places, and now she asked me what the color of the object was. I had to answer, "White."

It was an object with two differently colored sides, and from his viewpoint it was white. Only from my side it was black.

Sometimes we need to look at the problem from the other person's view in order to truly understand their perspective.

*I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.*

*What we see depends mainly on what we look for.*

*Imagine you could open your eyes to see only the good in every person, the positive in every circumstance, and the opportunity in every challenge.*

*Leadership is communicating to people their worth and potential so clearly that they come to see it in themselves.*

*When the trust account is high communication is instant easy and effective.*

*Shift your thinking and watch your life shift...*

*Setting Personal Goals*

You say you have set your goals?

Are they set for the right reason?

We set goals for short term objectives. Most of these objectives concern materialistic wants: money, and physical things.

Here is a suggestion to take a different point of view when working on goals.

Start with deciding what your life should be. Take some time to define your life five years from now. Here are some questions you might ask yourself.

What are my surroundings?

What kind of places am I in?

What am I feeling?

What are my emotions?

What type of people are around me?

What kind of feelings do I get from them?

What am I doing? Physically?

Where am I going? My future?

Where have I been?

Notice there are no questions dealing with money, or named places, or named people. The answers to these questions will provide you with attitudes, feelings, values, perceptions and other non-tangible ideas that make life worth living no matter where you are, who you are with, or what you are doing!

If we have created a lifestyle that we like, then the physical part of our lives will fit right in and accompany the lifestyle because it has to!

Suggestion is to look at the lifestyle you want to create, and set your plan to achieve the lifestyle instead of the physical side of life most of us set our goals to achieve.

To go even deeper, define your values very clearly and make sure that your vision of your life in five years fits with your values.

Is it worth it?

You have heard the phrase 'plan your work and work your plan'? If you do not create your life by setting goals and a plan to reach them, someone is doing it for you. If you think about it, that is really scary! What kind of vision would some else have for you?

Think of it this way. Look back five years ago in your life. Are you today where you imagined you would be five years ago? Or are you where someone else imagined you would be?

Don't you think your life would dramatically improve if you made the plan instead of 'them'? Don't you think you might have a little more interest in your life than someone else.

As the advertisement says so well:

Just do it!

When we don't accept an undesired event, it becomes *Anger*; when we accept it, it becomes *Tolerance.*

When we don't accept uncertainty, it becomes *Fear*; when we accept it, it becomes *Adventure.*

When we don't accept other's bad behaviour towards us, it becomes *Hatred;when we accept it, it becomes Forgiveness.*

When we don't accept other's Success, it becomes *Jealousy;* when we accept it, it becomes *Inspiration.*

Acceptance is the key to handling life well.

*How to stay motivated ?*

In the jungle which animal is the biggest ........

I heard you say, Elephant.

In the jungle which animal is the tallest ........

I heard you say, Giraffe.

In the jungle which animal is the wisest ........

I heard you say, Fox.

In the jungle which animal is the fastest ........

I heard you say, Cheetahs.

Among all these wonderful qualities mentioned, where is the Lion in the picture.?

Yet, you say the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.!!

The Lion is courageous,

The Lion is very bold,

The Lion is always ready to face any challenges, any barrier that crosses his path, no matter how big/bad they are.!!

The Lion walks with confidence. The Lion dares anything and is never afraid. The Lion believes he is unstoppable. The Lion is a risk taker. The Lion believes any animal is food for him. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a try and never lets it slip from his hands. The Lion has charisma.!!

- What is it that we get to learn from the Lion ??

• You don't need to be the fastest.

• You don't need to be the wisest.

• You don't need to be the smartest.

• You don't need to be the most brilliant.

• You don't need to be generally accepted to achieve your dreams and be great in life.!!

• All you need is *courage*

• All you need is the will to try.

• All you need is the faith to believe it is possible.

• All you need is to believe in yourself, that *you can* do it.!!

It's TIME to bring out the Lion in you..!!

Stay motivated.

#Learning #life's #lessons

*Learning Life's Lessons*

A 91-year-old woman died after living a very long dignified life. When she met God, she asked Him something that had really bothered her for a very long time. "If Man was created in God's image, and if all men are created equal, why do people treat each other so badly?"

God replied that each person who enters our life has a unique lesson to teach us. It is only through these lessons that we learn about life, people and our relationships with God. This confused the woman, so God began to explain:

"When someone lies to you, it teaches you that things are not always what they seem. The truth is often far beneath the surface. Look beyond the masks people wear if you want to know what is in their hearts. Remove your own masks to let people know who you really are.

When someone steals from you, it teaches you that nothing is forever. Always appreciate what you have. You never know when you might lose it. Never take your friends or family for granted because today, and sometimes only this very moment, is the only guarantee you may have.

When someone inflicts injury upon you, it teaches you that the human state is a very fragile one. Protect and take care of your body as best as you can; it's the one thing that you are sure to have forever.

When someone mocks you, it teaches you that no two people are alike. When you encounter people who are different from you, do not judge them by how they look or act. Instead, base it on the contents of what is in their hearts.

When someone breaks your heart, it teaches you that loving someone does not always mean that the person will love you back. But don't turn your back on love because when you find the right person, the joy that one person brings you will make up for all of your past hurts times a thousand fold.

When someone holds a grudge against you, it teaches you that everyone makes mistakes. When you are wronged, the most virtuous thing you can do is forgive the offender without pretense. Forgiving those who have hurt us is often the most difficult and painful of life's experiences, but it is also the most courageous thing a person can do.

When a loved one is unfaithful to you, it teaches you that resisting temptation is Man's greatest challenge. Be vigilant in your resistance against all temptations. By doing so, you will be rewarded with an enduring sense of satisfaction far greater than the temporary pleasure by which you were tempted.

When someone cheats you, it teaches you that greed is the root of all evil. Aspire to make your dreams come true, no matter how lofty they may be. Do not feel guilty about your success, but never let an obsession with achieving your goals lead you to engage in malevolent activities.

When someone ridicules you, it teaches you that nobody is perfect. Accept people for their merits and be tolerant of their flaws. Do not ever reject someone for imperfections over which they have no control."

Upon hearing the Lord's wisdom, the old woman became concerned that there are no lessons to be learned from man's good deeds. God replied that Man's capacity to love is the greatest gift He has. At the root of kindness and love, and each act of love also teaches us a lesson.

The woman's curiosity deepened. God, once again began to explain:

"When someone loves us, it teaches us love, kindness, charity, honesty, humility, forgiveness, acceptance, and all of these can counteract all the evil in the world. For every good deed, there is one evil deed. Man alone has the power to control the balance between good and evil, but because the lessons of love are not taught often enough, the power is too often abused.

When you enter someone's life, whether by plan, chance or coincidence, consider what your lesson will be. Will you teach love or a harsh lesson of reality? When you die, will your life have resulted in more loving or more hurting? More comfort or more pain? More joy or more sadness? Each one of us has the power over the balance of the love in the world. Use it wisely!"

Moral: Don't miss an opportunity to nudge the world's scale in the right direction!

#Appearances can be #deceptive

Today, I have two stories for you. Both of them are true. Here's the first one:

Maxwell Morrison was well and truly screwed. He was standing in a courtroom in Bangkok, waiting for his sentence. The offence was drug trafficking, and if found guilty, the sentence would be life in one of the most horrific prisons in the world. The problem was that Maxwell was innocent. the drugs had been found stashed in a musical instrument he had agreed to carry through the checkpoint for a woman who had appeared to have her hands full with a baby, two young children and a whole lot of hand luggage. Of course, the moment the sniffer dogs singled him out for special attention, the woman and her children evaporated into thin air.

He had tried to explain this to the judge in his super-fast-track case, which had so far lasted less than 45 minutes, but the prosecution had countered by pointing out that it would take a very stupid person indeed to be suckered into carrying anything through a security checkpoint for a stranger - especially in this modern post-9/11 world. They had also pointed out that back home in Nottingham, Maxwell was a police officer. A security expert, who could never be as naïve as he was now pretending to be. Maxwell's only counter-argument to that had been, "Appearances can be deceptive". The Judge had given him the strangest look when he said that.

No, things were certainly not going well for him in this case. His only witness had been a British passenger who had seemed a bit drunk during her testimony. She admitted she had seen the woman hand the instrument to Maxwell, but added that they appeared to be travelling together. Again, Maxwell's defence was, "Appearances can be deceptive".

He remembered with irony the first time he had actually heard the expression "Appearances can be deceptive". It was in the eighties. He was a teenager going through a punk rock phase. He wore nothing but black, had multiple body piercings and was always playing with a scary-looking flip-knife. All the kids in school were afraid of him and steered well clear. One afternoon when he was enjoying some peace and quiet behind the boat shed, listening to Grateful Dead on his walkman, he heard a commotion. Three kids were bullying a foreign student. They were about to throw the little kid into the river, and the poor boy kept crying, "Please! Please, I can't swim!"

Maxwell intervened. At first, the three bullies wanted to fight it out, but Maxwell was a good three inches taller than the tallest of them. Plus, he had his knife, and he made them believe he was happy to use it. So they dropped the little foreign boy and went off to find a new victim. Maxwell asked the relieved kid if he was alright. The boy adjusted his glasses, looked at Maxwell for a long moment and said, "Appearances can be deceptive".

"Why do you say that?" Maxwell asked.

"Well, everybody thinks you're scary. Some kids even said you stabbed a teacher once. You're the last person I'd have expected to come to my aid. But thank you for doing so. I would have drowned if you hadn't. In Thailand where I come from, you owe the person who saves your life an eternal debt which you spend the rest of your life paying back. My name is Tran Pack, and I will never forget what you did for me." With that, he shook Maxwell's hand and ran off.

Back in the Bangkok courtroom, Maxwell allowed himself a wry smile as he recalled that childhood episode. Thirty years after he saved a Thai kid's life, he was now a 45-year old policeman, about to spend the rest of his own life in a Thai prison, all because appearances can be deceptive. He snapped out of his reflections as the judge banged his gavel three times. It was time for the verdict.

And that's where I'll end the first story. Here's the second story.

Judge Tran Pack could not believe his eyes when Maxwell Morrison walked into his courtroom. Thirty two years had not done much to change his appearance, so Tran recognised him at once. He listened patiently for 45 minutes and then banged his gavel three times before giving the verdict. "Mr Morrison, appearances can indeed be deceptive. Not guilty. You're free to go."

And that is the end of the second story.

My people, I know I don't need to say much more about the lessons from these two stories. As you live your lives, please take every opportunity to do something unforgettable for someone who can't pay you back today. They'll pay you back tomorrow with interest.

Kindness is not a debt you pay, but an investment you make.

The lion couple was away leaving the little cubs behind in the den.

The cubs were hungry and were crying for mother. A goat, in her motherly instinct, had pity on them and fed them with her own milk.

After it she started playing with them, so that they do not go far from the den.

After some time, the parents came back. Seeing the goat, they wanted to kill it. But the cubs shouted, don't kill. She saved us by her own milk.

The lions were very pleased and let the goat go.

Thereafter the goat became a friend of the lions. She even reached for leaves in the high branches standing on the back of the lion.

A hawk was very impressed seeing the goat's relation with the lions.

It asked the goat, how could you be a friend of the lions?

The goat said, I had once saved the cubs, and the lions are still grateful.

The hawk thought, I also will save souls in distress. One day, during heavy rains, it saw some small mice struggling to survive. It took them under its wings. The mice were saved.

When rain stopped, the mice left, but the hawk discovered that when they were under his wings, they cut all the feathers.

The hawk was unable to fly. He asked the goat, I saved their lives, but they left me crippled.

You had saved life of cubs and all the lions are still grateful to you. Why is it so?

The goat replied, if you want gratitude, help lions, not mice. Only the lion hearted reciprocate, not mouse hearted.

You can not expect lion's character in mice.

*Creativity and Ideas Need Action for Success*

At first a balloon is flat. You could have it in your pocket or in the middle of a book and nobody has any idea of what you are keeping. Sometimes you could hold it in your hands without anybody noticing what you have.

But the moment you blow air into it steadily, it becomes impossible for you to put it in the middle of your book like you did earlier! Once you start blowing the balloon, you cannot fold it in your hands as you did before! Everybody around you begins to notice the balloon. They begin to pay attention to its colors and its size.

This is how the life of a man is supposed to be. When you have an idea, it may first be in your book or on a sheet of paper in your hands and isn't seen by anybody. But when you start to blow creativity into your idea, people begin see it. It also becomes impossible for you, the visionary, to hide the idea.

The idea attracts attention itself. Just like all the balloon needs to start receiving attention is consistent air, all your idea needs is consistent creativity blown into it.

Air sustains the balloon as long as there is no place for air to escape. Your business also thrives as long as creativity is not allowed to escape.

The balloon traps air inside to be able to exhibit its real size and at the same time it takes advantage of the air to move up. The breeze does not often favor the balloon but the balloon still takes advantage of the breeze to dance in the air. You and I know so well that the balloon might be fully blown but it does not move if there is no breeze to carry it.

*You do not have to start with money. Start with what's on your mind.*

There are people who have ideas and are waiting for money to start. What amazes me is that there are people who have money and are waiting for ideas so that they can invest their money! If money really gets things started, the people who have money would not look for ideas.

You may also be interested in the fact that the balloon lasts longer because of its flexibility. When it hits anything, its direction changes.

When you hit a hard rock, while sailing through life, don't stay put. Don't say it's the end of the road. There's a long way to travel beyond the rock.

When the balloon is pressed, it bends and flips because of pressure. Learn to endure. Use pressure to bend and flip to the next level.

The route a balloon or your life takes isn't going to be straight. Like an alphabet written on a straight line, you have to go zigzag before picking the letters that form success. I know you can be a success!

*Very on...*

*_MARIA'S NEW HAT!!!πŸ‘’_*

Maria lived with her mother in a small apartment in NYC.

She wasn't too young or too old..
not too short or too tall..
not particularly beautiful nor ugly..
She was just an average woman.

She worked as a secretary at a large company and her life was pretty much boring and mundane.

No one at work paid any attention to her...
Those that did considered her to be as boring as her life was.

One morning, on her way to work, Maria saw a new hat shop that opened down the street.

In a spur of curiosity she walked in!

In the shop was a little girl and her mother,
who came to pick the girl a hat, and another customer who was trying on hats...

Maria also tried on a few hats, until she found one she liked.

She put it on and
It looked nice!

First to notice was the little girl : "Mommy, look how pretty that woman looks with the hat on!"

The mother said:
"Ma'am, I must say, this hat just looks wonderful on you!"
The second buyer also came to look : "Ma'am, you look lovely with that hat on!"

Maria went to the mirror..
She looked at herself..
And for the first time in her adult life..
She liked what she saw.

Smiling, she went to the counter and bought the hat.

As she walked outside a new world revealed itself to her.

She never before noticed the colors of the flowers..
or the scent of the fresh air..

The sound of the cars and the people..
sounded like an harmonious melody..

She walked as if drifting on a cloud..
with a song in her heart..

When she passed by the coffee shop she walked by every morning,
one of the young handsome man called out to her:
"Hey darling..looking good!
Are you new here?
Can I buy you a cup of coffee? "

She smiled shyly and kept walking..
Floating on her cloud...

When she got to the office building, the doorman opened the door and wished her Good Morning..
Never before had he even noticed her!

The people in the elevator asked her the floor she needed and pressed the button for her.

The people at the office, as if seeing her for the first time, flattered her on how lovely she looked today.

The manager asked her out to lunch to talk about how she felt at work!

When this magical workday was over she decided to take a cab home instead of the bus.
As soon as she put her hand up 2 taxis stopped!

She took the first one and sat in the back seat..
Thinking about the miraculous day she had and how her life changed!! Thanks to the new hat!

When she got home, her mom opened the door.
The sight of Maria took her breath away!
"Maria" she said surprised "How beautiful you look! Your eyes are all lit up like when you were a little girl! "

"Yes, mother" Said Maria
"It's all thanks to my new hat, I had the most marvelous day!"

"Maria" said her mother
"What hat??"

*Maria panicked.*

She touched her head and saw that the hat that changed her life was not there... She didn't remember taking it off in the cab..
Or at lunch..
Or at the office..

She thought back to the store where she had bought it..
How she noticed it for the first time..
She put it on..
Paying for it at the cashier's...

And she remembered painfully now..
How she put it on the counter..
To get her purse out to pay..
And how she forgot the hat right there..
On the counter...

Then she walked out to the street..
Hat-less yet glowing!

It wasn't the hat that freed Maria,
it was the quality of her thoughts!

*_Our thoughts can enslave us into a horrible bondage or liberate us towards sweet freedom: to be, do, or have anything we wish for!!!_*.

#laws of nature

.... The food we eat, has to be digested and then thrown out of body in 24 hours, else we will fall ill.

.... The water we drink, gets in our body and is thrown out in 4 hours, else we will fall ill.

.... The air we breathe, has to be thrown out in 1 minute, else we will die.

What about negative emotions like hatred, anger, jealousy, insecurity ... we hold in our body for days, months and years.

If these negative emotions are not thrown out regularly it props up into psycho-somatic diseases.

And meditation and prayers are safest way to dissolve these emotions.

Have a healthy day and life ahead ...

*Baby Camel and Mother*

A mother and a baby camel were lying around, and suddenly the baby camel asked, "mother, may I ask you some questions? Mother said, "Sure! Why son, is there something bothering you? Baby said, "Why do camels have humps?" Mother said "Well son, we are desert animals, we need the humps to store water and we are known to survive without water". Baby said, "Okay, then why are our legs long and our feet rounded?" Mother said, "Son, obviously they are meant for walking in the desert. You know with these legs I can move around the desert better than anyone does!" Baby said, "Okay, then why are our eyelashes long? Sometimes it bothers my sight". Mother with pride said, "My son, those long thick eyelashes are your protective cover. They help to protect your eyes from the desert sand and wind".

Baby after thinking said, "I see. So the hump is to store water when we are in the desert, the legs are for walking through the desert and these eye lashes protect my eyes from the desert then what in god's name are we doing here in the Zoo!?"

#Life a #combination

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. He sent them in different seasons so that they can experience different seasons.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent and twisted.

The second son said… no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed. He said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful. It was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with all of them. He said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.

He told them that you cannot judge a tree or a person, by only one season and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end when all the seasons are up.

*If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.*

*Likewise, don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.*

*The true nature of the being can best be experienced only in wholesomeness.*

*The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.*

I #am a #woman

So what?
I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, I feel the pain, yet they tell me I provoked him. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him.

I get into an argument with a man, I slap him, they tell me I have no respect, no home training. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him.
Because I am a woman, I don't have a right to be angry. So, the degree of my innocence is directly proportional to the degree of my silence in the face of oppression and brutality.....

Because I am a woman, my husband cheats on me, I am told to tolerate it to save my marriage. The barbaric and stupid excuse is that ''it is in their nature to cheat, I should slim down, dress better, cook better, pray harder and be more pleasant to him"

I cheat, and I am called a whore, I have committed an abomination, I have no right to look elsewhere for the love and emotional support I lack at home, I am an irresponsible mother.

So I am sent packing, from the home we both built, with all my earthly possessions stuffed into a tiny box on my head. I am henceforth forbidden from seeing my two older children, I'm lucky to be allowed to go with my little one still suckling on my left breast. Three years later, the little one is tagged a bastard. Now, my new name is "after-three", because I am a woman.

He is 28 and runs a company. He's tagged wonderful, hardworking, focused, career oriented, successful at a very young age.

I am 28 and I run a company " Hmmmm, she is not even married, unserious, can not order her priorities right, a hustler, loves money, let her go and get a husband oh"
And I wonder if being successful has anything to do with a person's gender.

Because I am a woman,
I am not allowed to have wits or be a prodigy, I cannot be financially buoyant, professionally successful or be treated with respect without a man beside me.

Then I am tagged a generous leg opener, "a runs girl". They never see the possibility that I actually had to go through ups and downs to get to where I am.
Because I am a woman.

A man looses his wife to death and remarries a year after, he did the right thing, he's being praised and congratulated for moving on, after all life is for the living.

A woman looses her husband to death and remarries after 4yrs, "ahhh! so early? Are u sure she wasn't sleeping with that man even when her husband was alive? That was why she killed her husband. She's a witch! " Because she's a woman.

Because I am a woman, this post will be considered controversial, and everyone will try to correct me.

But don't forget, that I am a woman and it does not make me less human!!!

Share to respect some woman.

#Five and #alive

*Five And Alive*

I grew up very poor and with a single mom in the throws of addiction. Often there was no money for food, and I was hungry a lot.

On my fifth birthday (1986), a couple close family members were invited to go to a park to celebrate my birthday. No cake, no presents, not a problem. Except for my auntie. She had an envelope in her hand.

Before everyone sang happy birthday, I saw a little boy, probably my age, and a woman, digging in the park dumpster for food. Something happened to me. I begged my mom to invite them to my party but my mother was not a fan of strangers. She said no.

I was intrigued, I didn't know others struggled like me, it hurt my heart. I watched them as everyone sang. I watched them when my auntie handed me an envelope. I watched them as I opened it until I saw the contents, a crisp 100 dollar bill. My mother was enraged that my auntie would give me such a large amount of money. I think my auntie trusted me more than my mother with cash.

We were poor, I didn't eat 3 days a week, I had a very hard childhood. But I had never dug in a dumpster for food. The struggle, the suffering, I had never seen anyone else struggle. It just wasn't right if it could be prevented.

My auntie kept talking to my mother, telling me, I can do ANYTHING I want with that money. So I did. I walked to the dumpster to the boy and his mother. I explained to the boy that it was my birthday and my one present was a $100, and I wanted to give it to them. There were so many tears and thank yous.

I and my auntie understood how powerful it was to give the only money I've ever seen away.

*Debriefing of this Story*

We always feel that our life is hard and it is so unfair to us. But when you actually go out and meet poor people, you will realize that how many good things you have taken for granted.

Start helping others in any small way possible, will not reduce your problems but will surely give you more strength to withstand it.

#Simply #your #life

Abstract of what I read today -

Book - 100 ways to simplify your life.

We all live our lives that leave us frustrated, confused, weary and worn out, sucked up in the system, wasting years hoping life would change.

Life itself, doesnt change. And if it changes, it could be for the better sometimes, and sometimes for the worse, life is unpredictable, life seems complicated.

Life can never be simple UNLESS we learn to approach all things simply.

Our ATTITUDE towards each event in life, determines, how easy or complex each situation will be.

Read again slowly

Our ATTITUDE towards each event in life, determines, how easy or complex each situation will be.

Life, circumstances and people around us, do not need to change. It is we who need to change.

Our problem isnt the problem, we are the problem.

We kill our own joys, with complications.

Change urself.
Change ur approach, attitude.
Trust God.

Faith is simple.
A childlike approach to life is simple.
Life is simple.
